Online Seminar: Antitrust in the Digital Era: New Developments in the EU and Taiwan

Introduction
In recent years, many antitrust regulators around the world have been looking into competition law issues in the digital market. In the European Union (“EU”), the Vertical Block Exemption Regulation will come into force on 1 June 2022. In Taiwan, the Fair Competition Commission (“FTC”) published a draft white paper on digital competition policy in March 2022 and is now seeking public comments on the draft.
This online seminar focuses on competition law issues surrounding digital economy. Dr. Richard Wang, Distinguished Professor of Law, National Chengchi University, will be addressing the FTC's white paper. Mr. Peter Stauber, Partner of Noerr LLP (Berlin), whose practicing field is competition law, will be exploring recent developments in the EU. Ms. Jane Wang and Dr. Brian Hsieh, Partners of Formosa Transnational, will be discussing competition law issues surrounding pricing.
This online seminar will be held in English; simple Chinese translations will be provided occasionally.
