Seminar on newly amended Taiwan Patent Law, December 21 2011
Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan passed amendments to Taiwan’s Patent Law on November 29, 2011 and as many as 159 articles of the Law have been amended, added or deleted. The scale of change is unprecedentedly broad, and the amendments are expected to become effective within one year. What are the new rules for patent filings, prosecution, invalidation, design patents, enforcement of rights, and patent litigation? What detailed practice and execution issues are still subject to further clarification by the patent authority? During the legislative process, which issues were bargained and campaigned for by industrial players? What adjustments should enterprises make with respect to strategy from patent filing to enforcement? Three speakers, who are experienced patent mangers and litigators and who have long participated in public hearings for the legislative process, will share their valuable insights and observations regarding these issues. Due to limited seating, early Registration for this Seminar is recommended.
