IBA President Claudio Visco Visits Formosa Transnational
Formosa Transnational is a Group Member of the International Bar Association (IBA). For this reason, Claudio Visco, the IBA's President for 2026, made a special visit to the firm during his trip to Taipei. He visited us on the afternoon of 17 September 2026 for a meeting and an exchange of views. President Visco is a senior partner at Lipani Legal & Tax in Italy.
The discussion covered ways to deepen international ties and grow cross-border practice. President Visco and our partners also exchanged views on AI governance, one of his priorities for 2026. Other topics included Taiwan's development as a financial center in Asia, international supply chains and fintech. Our partners shared the firm's expertise and experience in various sectors.
Formosa Transnational has long worked with counsel around the world on cross-border matters. The firm will also take an active part in IBA committees and regional events. The IBA will hold its Annual Conference in Singapore in November 2027, and several of our partners will attend.
We thank President Visco for making time to visit us during a busy trip to Taiwan. We also thank the IBA Asia Office for arranging the visit. We look forward to continuing our dialogue with the IBA and its members.
