Taiwan's Investment Environment Ranks the 6th in World
n April 1, 2008 Business Environment Risk Intelligence (BERI), in its first “Investment Environment Risk Report” of 2008 ranked Taiwan’s investment environment 6th among the 50 countries covered in the report. Taiwan received a composite score of 73 (Taiwan scored 72 in the third report of year 2007). The only countries ranking higher than Taiwan were Switzerland, Singapore, Holland, Japan, and Norway (see Table below). Taiwan ranks the 3rd in Asia, behind only Singapore and Japan.
Taiwan’s investment environment has been continuously ranked as the highest-level 1A, which means a country with law risk and beneficial for investment. In the same report, BERI also forecasts that Taiwan will continuously improve in its overall investment environment with a score of 73 or 74 in the future one or five year and maintains its 6th ranking among all the valued countries.
