NCC: Five New Television Broadcast Licenses will be Awarded

National Communication Commission (NCC) is considering awarding five new television broadcast station licenses, and the proposal of the related regulation will be announced by the end of this year. The NCC will hold a public hearing for the details on eligibility and other related criteria.

The basic idea of license releasing is that one of the five licenses must be obtained by the company which operates for the public interests. Additionally, to improve the quality of television broadcasts and to increase competition, the licenses cannot be obtained by a company which already operates any television broadcast stations.
